A San Marco nell'Ottocento vi furono due famiglie con cognome Manes: la prima proveniente da Mongrassano, l'altra da San Benedetto Ullano. Stefano e Teresa Onorato erano contadini ed abitavano in contrada Sciulli. Quando si sposarono nell'agosto del 1827 Teresa era appena dodicenne ed ebbe il primo figlio a novembre dello stesso anno. Lo sposo aveva ventotto anni. Dopo il 1842, anno dell'ultimo nato, non abbiamo notizie di questa famiglia.
Francesco, calzolaio, e Gesualda Matrangolo, filatrice, giunsero a San Marco circa trent'anni dopo. Ebbero due figli, Lazzaro e Minotti Ismaele. Abitavano in contrada Riforma.

In the nineteenth century in San Marco there were two families with surname Manes: the first coming from Mongrassano, the other one from San Benedetto Ullano. Stefano and Teresa Onorato were farmers and lived in country at Sciulli. When Teresa married on August 1827 she was only twelve years old; she had her baby on November of the same year. The bridegroom was twenty eight years old. We have not found informations about this family after 1842, year of the last born.
